When you receive the product you need to verify the vehicle application and part number so that you can be sure it matches the intended part ordered. To do that check the barcode on the box also check whether the information matches your truck model. After you have checked these you can unpack the product. If you have ordered a combo pack then check beforehand which is the rear and the front mud guards. Also, check if all the mounting hardware have been provided inside the package.

  1. To protect your fenders from wearing you will have to install paint protection film over the mud guard mounting surface at first.

  3. Clean the area where the mudguard will be installed.
  4. Place the mud guard on the fender to determine where to place the paint protection film
  5. Notice the LH marking for the left-hand side and RH for the right-hand side for placement on the correct side.

Husky Liner Molded fit

The Husky liners mudguards are easy to install and do not require any professionals for installing. You can regard it as a simple DIY project because it is quite easy. It takes less than an hour to install them by yourself. Just make sure that you read the instructions carefully before installing them.

Review and Thoughts

Since the installation process is over now it’s time for a detailed review of the product.

Material and Finish of Husky mud guards

The best thing I like about this mud guard is that it’s made of all-weather, impact-resistant thermoplastic. Thermoplastic means that instead of an ABS it’s brittle but this thermoplastic is flexible and really bends. So when rocks or debris hit, it will move and not get damaged. They also have a really nice texture to them on the outside. So in case they get dents or scratch you won’t really see it much due to its matt finish.

Installation and final looks

These mud guards are a form fit for your F150 but if you have factory OEM fender flares or factory running boards to get into your truck, it will impact which one is needed for your truck. The best part is that it is a no-drill option and the easiest to install. I really like the paint protector that came with it to prevent the mud flap from rubbing on the body. There were some problems with it though as it needed to be cut with scissors because the perforation of the protective layer wasn’t strong enough to be peeled off completely.

Tip – Make sure to push up on the flap before you press the top up that has the double-sided adhesive tape, together. That way you can get a form fit all the way around.

Overall in terms of their use and function, they look great and fit perfectly. I am really happy with the install overall.

Final take on Husky liners Mud flap

The mud guard from the brand Husky is our top pick for F150 mud guards. These come at a great price and are a great option if you are looking for a mud guard for your F150. These can be installed easily with no drilling required. They are not only good quality but also come with a lifetime warranty. The textured black finish protects the mud flap from scratching and also gives a sleek style to your F150.

I would suggest installing the husky mud guard so that you can protect the tires from stones, mud, and debris on the road. Also to protect the vehicle’s paint from scrapping after getting hit by stones, due to no protection. These mud guards are made of weather and impact-resistant thermoplastics which will last you a lifetime. Thus mudguards from the brand husky liners are our top pick for your Ford F 150.

The molded fit is perfect but make sure you order the right one for your tuck
